Article Source Book

Print Catalogue Design

Project Overview

The B2B sales team was experiencing gaps when pitching or presenting to new or existing clients, such as interior designers, making it difficult to discuss products in session. A source book would allow easy product navigation while in session i.e. “Please turn to page xx”. Additionally, by having a branded, physical tool that lives in their resource library or on their desk, Article has a better shot to be top of mind at the start of a new project.

Design

With this catalogue design I wanted to create an experience that would work well in tandem with Article’s product pages and complement the existing website design. I found balance in this design highlighting Article’s distinctive brand assets and beautiful photography, while maintaining a strong informative design that is clear and user friendly.

I wanted the user (interior designer) to be able to make their purchasing decisions easily while sifting through so much detail. Utilising the swatch images allowed for quick reference to possible colourways for each product.

The size of the book (9”x12”) was chosen for a few reasons. It allows for more breathing room around each product and its details, it stands out among other catalogues at a more standard size (US letter), but it also is still a manageable size to use and fit in a shelf or tote bag.
